WDS is a non-standardized, vendor-specific method for creating bridges over wireless links, circumventing the "802.11" problem. Under StarOS, WDS is activated automatically as a side-effect of putting wireless interfaces into bridge group(s). This is done under the IP menu where you can specify a numbered bridge group 1,2,3... Basically, bridging occurs naturally in that you simply define which things you want bridged together and then it happens. If an access point has a wireless interface in a bridge group and its client has its wireless interface in a bridge group, then WDS will emulate a transparent bridge across that wireless connection.
